Provenance: John Charles Bigham, 1st Viscount Mersey (English jurist and politician, 1840-1929, Bogner Park booklabel); Oliver Howard (English bookseller and Managing Director of Bernard Quaritch, 1905-1961, bookplate).
First collected edition, bringing together Topsell\'s The History of Four-footed Beasts and The History of Serpents, published by William Jaggard in 1607 and 1608, respectively, with the addition of Thomas Moffett\'s Theatre of Insects. Nissen ZBI 4147; Wing G624; Wood p 599.
